It Does the Body Good

No, not mik, a good old fashioned run in the rain. The gym is about 3/4 miles away, and the only way to get there is to walk or run. I had attempted to go earlier in the evening, but it was raining, so I decided to wait it out. Then a buddy came in pointed at me and said let’s go.

So we ran to the gym, worked out and ran back…in the rain. In fairness to him, I asked him yesterday to drag me to the gym today. I skipped out on the gym yesterday because we did combatives training and that was enough of a work out for all of us.

Needless to say, I didn’t feel bad about skipping the gym yeserday. The thing is, once you skip it that first day, it’s that much easier to skip it the second day. Today was not a good day to skip the gym, either. I was…a wee bit sore from our combatives training, and the best thing for sore muscles is to work them.

And work them I did. I’ve been here just over a week and I think I fixed the problem everyone has with their dryers around the holidays…you know, how they shrink your clothes during the month of December? Well, after a week, my clothes are fitting just fine. The soreness is gone too…at least, until tomorrow.
