About Me

Background

I graduated from the United States Merchant Marine Academy in June of 1999 with a Bachelors of Science degree and accepted a commission as an officer in the United States Navy.  While serving on active duty, I served in the Chapel at Naval Air Station Pensacola, as a chaplain’s aide on the USS CARL VINSON, and a lay reader on the USS INGRAHAM.

After being released from Active Duty, I entered employment with Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, at one of their shipyards along the gulf coast.  While employed at NGSS, I felt the heavy burden for the need of unity in the body of Christ.  After much prayer and supplication, this burden led me to found One Body Ministries.  That ministry is fully devoted to the bringing unity to Christ’s body.

The mission of the ministry, and my personal mission through Jesus Christ, is to unite all believers in Christ into one body. My aim is to tear down the walls of sectarianism and help Christians to love each other as brothers and sisters in Christ.  I currently sit on the board of directors.

In July of 2006, I was recalled to active duty and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Upon being release from active duty a second time, I have once again picked up my writing and had my science fiction book published, as well as three Christian non-fiction books.

In December of 2011 I was mobilized for deployment to Afghanistan with the U.S. Army.  During that Deployment, I was offered a job with the U.S. Government as a civil servant, so after my military deployment, I immediately returned to Afghanistan.

I am currently working for a defense contractor in the south and I am working on a sequel to my science fiction book (see my blog) and another Christian Devotional Book.  I also have a podcast called “Coffee With Jesus.” You can listen to it here.

Previous Writing

I have written a devotional book entitled “Coffee With Jesus” which is published through One Body Press. In addition to the devotional book, I have written a religious non-fiction book to help support the ministry.  I have established my own online Christian eZine, which has now become the official newsletter for One Body Ministries International.

Sample articles can be found at first novel is not published yet, but  enjoy writing immensely, remember?)  I have also written various short stories some of which are available on this site.

To keep my writing skills sharp, I also write some fan fiction.  I know many authors look down on fan fiction, but it helps me sharpen my narrative, world building and dialogue writing skills.  If you are interested, some of it is available on at fanfiction.net.
